EE. Retention. FCRA from Experian and TU

It depends who you actually speak with me more so EX.

I called last week to have items removed and I was told that the dates where not correct for EE consideration and to call back in a few months.

Friday I called back and got three accounts removed but on my CR it says June 2026 removed which is more than 90 days since its Feb 2026.

Called to today and had three accounts removed.

I asked if I was in the right dept for EE and the rep told me yes but he referred to it as retention. It took him a while (15 min) but three baddies gone.

The got an email about two hours later "deleted."

Today, the rep kept saying FCRA, and retention, but 5/6 where not to come off until June and July. I did a roll account on the old accounts and the rep told which ones he could remove early (not EE) because of the EX. Though he didn't seem to be familiar with EE at all or it's just semantics?

I did the live text chat with TU - not a lot of luck. I called the next day and got the three removed even though it's beyond 180 window. Maybe about 210 or so.

Thanks sharing your experience.

It's like any other company these days, some CSR follow the rules ,while others do not.

Oh another reason could be.... CSR was having a great day and wanted you to have a great day too.

Another thing I do...... I call on Fridays hoping CSR don't work on the weekend, CSR in a great mood, they're likely to help you out.😉
