i did some searching and you may want to play around with the email address i am about to provide because i am not sure if this is the way they do their email add.

Well heres the link it was show that, MCM uses that type of email format!

Thus confirming the email for the CEO of MCM is probably

Midland Credit Management is another CA showing on my report claiming I owe a debt from 2002. I sent an email to MCM's CEO and he has forwarded the email to his compliance department. I hope to hear another deletion soon, as the original creditor does not have my account in their system. I will keep you all posted on the outcome.

Be careful with this one! That 2002 date tells me this is close to dropping off.

What was your original DOFD?

The original creditor (Aspire Visa) is not being reported on credit report and they claim they do not have a record of my account in their system. That is If I had one with them which I'm not sure. 2002 is long time ago.

MCM has been reporting to my credit report since June 2005.

This is what I pulled up from myfico for midland.

Status as of [?] Apr, 2009
Date opened [?] Jun, 2005
Date of last activity [?] Mar, 2003
Date closed [?] Not Reported
Account number [?] Not Reported
Loan type [?] Not Reported

Current status: 120+ days past due.

Am I safe to continue to pursue or what?

You need a report directly from the CRA to see DOFD/removal date. If you haven't already, pull your free annual reports-- see link below.

This is the information that TU is reporting for the account and payment history is being updated each month. It's hurting my credit score and I'm trying to get a mortgage loan by end of the year. I was at 602 but has dropped 23 points since trying to repair my credit.

Are you wanting to DV? PFD? File complaints?

Is it beyond legal SOL?

Since you've contacted the CEO, I'd wait and see what response you get back before doing anything further.

I've informed the CEO in the email that the original creditor does not have an account with me. I asked for validty of the debt and if they cannot validate the debt then to delete the account from their database and send delete notifications to the CRAs. If that doesn't work, I will send a DV letter to them.

I'm trying this "email CEO" approach first with MCM because it was successful with another CA and was able to get the negative item deleted.

I would wait until you hear back. I would then file a complaint with the BBB if they don't/can't/won't validate and don't remove it.

That's what happened with the other CA. I did not hear back from the CEO. I finally resent the email again and added that is was imperative that I hear a response or I will be forced to file complaint with FTC and/or file lawsuit thru my attorney. It got his attention real fast because I received an email response wthin an hour and was deleted later that day from Experian. I'm monitoring the other 2 CRAs to check for the deletion. Can I use the email from the CA as proof of agreeing to delete from CRAs? In case I ever have to snail mail the proof to the CRAs?

How did you word your subject line to the CEO? Also on your other Collection how long did you wait for a response or in your case Non Response to send the "imperative" email to the CEO

I had to send one as well. The Midland Peons who call my phone all day never get me anything in writing so therefore I do not pay. I need results in writing!

In the subject line, I put the account # and to request for an investigation.

As for the other email to the CA. I sent the email to the CEO on 5/11. I did not receive a reply back and resent the same email on 5/13 and added that I will file suit with FTC and/or lawsuit thru my attorney.
