I would not send them anything. It will only unnecessarily complicate and delay

They have millions of credit files to monitor and update, and they definately dont instantaneously update credit files daily.

Is it an OC account delinquency that is scheduled to fall off, or a CA account? Are you sure that the dates in your actual credit file properly reflect the required falloff under the FCRA? The CRA can only go by what the OC or CA reports to them.

If expected expiration of the falloff date was July, I doubt that their software will even consider it until August. It is only after the falloff date that controls.

I would keep my six-gun in my holster until September.

Message Edited by RobertEG on 07-03-2009 01:20 AM

I have an account from Transunion that said it was to fall off my credit report July 2009. Does that mean it should have fallen off yesterday? If I get a report today would it be gone.

Thanks

Hi. I had the same thing with me. The best thing to do is to write them a letter requesting it off your record, and give them a copy of the original with their "take off" date on it, so they can correct it and take it off your record. These companies are so slow about making changes and unless you bring it up to their attention, it might not get changed at all. I had to contact all 3 credit companies to give them the correct information about everything. They had old information, inaccurate information, and totally wrong information. But after I contacted all of them they sent me a fresh report (which you should request at the time of inquiry,or making changes) and they had finally given me the right report. Here I was years going with the wrong information, if only I had known earlier, my credit might have been different today.

Hope this helps. You have to keep them on their toes, you know....
