Hello, i'm new to all this, and i've been going through quite a bit as many other people have. If anyone can help with some advice on what to do, i would greatly appreciate it. So i recieve a letter from the legal department of JPMORGAN CHASE, which is stamped in black ink on the top of the letter, but the letter reads:

RE: CHASE BANK USA, N.A. Account(s) Ending in:
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-my last 4 digits of my account
      Balance: $xx,xxx.xx my account balance

Dear Txxxxxxxxxx:

Due to your failure to pay the balance due on your account, we have been instructed to file suit against you. Additionally, as required by law, you are hereby notified that a negative credit report reflecting your credit record may be submitted to a credit reporting agency if you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligations.

Once a judgment is obtained, your income may be garnished and other personal property subject to levy may be seized to satisfy the judgment. If you own real property, liens could be placed thereon.

In addition to the $xx,xxx.xx due on your account, the judgment may include costs of suit, interest and attorneys fees at the discretion of the court. You are hereby notified that, if the balance due on your account is less than $5,000.00, we opt not to use the small claims court and you could be liable fo additional amounts of up to the costs of suit and, when allowed by law, attorneys' fees. Judgments can remain on your record for 10 years or longer.

Filling of the lawsuit is unavoidable. However, to avoide the unnecessary progression of the lawsuit to judgment and eventually wage garnishment, please contact one of my leggas assistants immediately for repayment optionas at the number indictated above upon receipt of this letter. Than you for your attention to this matter.

Bottom is signed with 4 names and Attorneys for Plaintiff CHASE BANK USA, N.A.

But on the top, there's just an address, but no lawfirm name or anything.

I live in california, and i just recieved this letter but it's dated June 3, 2009, a month ago. I haven't been able to make payments for about the past 4 months.

Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated.
