HELP!! Applied Bank chargeoff - I paid in full , a new CA sent CO letter

I paid Applied Card Bank in full on 7/8 for a charged off CC ($1468), mailed a cashier's check via ups overnight to their overnight payment address, which they received on 7/9. No CA was reporting to the bureaus, and the OC was reporting a past due balance of $1468.

Today, 7/11 I receive a letter from NARS Call Center Solutions dated 7/7 that the balance is still due.

WHAT DO I DO? Send a cease and desist letter advising them the account was already PIF? Send a standard DV letter?

I have never sent a cashiers check for anything, but I imagine that you get some type of notification when it's cashed.

When you get that notification...then either send a DV or if they're reporting to the 3...send them a letter notifying them they have no legal right to attempt to collect & simultaneously contact the "3" & dispute.

Any one have a better idea/legal move??

Had to send a cashier's check since it was over 1000.

I called the bank and the check cleared on 7/10. I am going to the local bank to get a copy of the front and back right now. Then will send to the CA.

Which type of letter should I send with the check copy? A cease and desist?? A standard DV?

I need advice on this TODAY, my lender is pulling my credit on monday for my preapproval letter and I cannot have any surprises!!

Sent the CA a DV letter CMRRR yesterday. Applied Bank hasn't updated the bureaus yet, but I will phone them in the morning and see if I can get them to.

However, today I received a letter from Applied Bank that said " Thank you for your recent payment of $1468.00. If you have any questions or would like to discuss settling your account for less than the full balance, please call us." I actually paid more than the balance due, which was $1467.65." Ok, only .35 more, but still.

Ok to assume this is just a standard letter they send when someone makes a payment on their account when it had been turned over to their internal collection account?

Just looked at Experian report. The applied bank listing is now showing $0 for the recent balance, with an update as of 7/09. However, it shows charged off, not paid in full.

Is it possible that the timing of my payment just was REALLY close to them transferring the debt to a CA? OR does it sound like they are trying to do something fishy??
