Score keeps going down...

I have paid off everything i owed. I had past payments that were late, really late. But now everything was paid off by me and no one else. I now have a car pymt, secured credit card and a few student loans (deferred, no paymt due yet, still in school).

My score keeps going down...I got the secured credit card, mentioned above, to try to improve my score. I could not get a regular credit card because of my score. I have charged on the card and paid it in full ontime for 5 months now. My score keeps going down.

I do not know what else to do. Any suggestions???

What does your report say? Do you have all 3? Which "score" are you referring to (is it a real FICO?) & where did you get it??

I get an email every time anything on my report changes from Free Credit Report.com. It is only from one agency, Experian.

I heard that FreeCreditReport.com is credible. Is that wrong?

My score was 565 a few months ago and now it is 541. I forgot to mention earlier that I do have one derogatory account that my exhusband was ordered to pay but the accont was in my name. It is for $609 (Verizon) and he never paid it.

They are more than fine for "monitoring" your reports. Their scores are as reliable as closing your eyes & spinning a wheel. (think wheel of fortune)

Have you gotten your 3 free reports directly from the 3 CRA's? ...the link is in my sig block. Balances & such will be the same as you see on FCR...but the ones from the orig sites give you MORE info that is very important to have.

I am also sending a PM to you....look for it in a few minutes.
