Thanks everyone!! It's been a long haul & I still need some updates for accts which will boost it a little more, but seeing that 7...I couldn't believe it!

This bump came from a Firestone card I've had for 3 years & never activated! DOH! Went there...charged new wiper blades...instant 3 yo 1200 cl, then waited for my online acct to update...PIF & it posted today!!

I have to say a totally heartfelt thanks to you two! I have received both directly and indirectly, the best information and help from reading all the great advice you guys offer!

I'm sure I got a lot from the other MODs too, but I guess you guys are on most when I'm here.

Between your information and that of so many folks who have been here & been through so much of the same...

.......I couldn't have done it without you!!!!!

This has been an off & on trip for over 5 years!

With some things, I just had to wait for it to age & drop off...Others were GW's & I lied thru my teeth!!

I can sympathize with you! All of my bad stuff was from 10 years ago, and at the time I didn't know any better, so I just waited for all of it to drop off. It's amazing how my report went from nothing good to (almost) nothing bad. But it was hard feeling like such a failure for so long, and being too embarassed to talk about credit with anyone.

Now I'm obsessed with talking about credit!

OMG...me too! Any time I hear anyone even mention credit, I tell them to come here. It's unreal how many people think a score is a score & they're all alike! I set them straight...believe me!

I know my reports were a mess years ago. I think I had something like 15 or 17 bad accts & *maybe* 2 good ones! That was very embarrassing!!! I vowed to clean it up when I couldn't afford a plane ticket home when my mom died. I got home when it was too late. HUGE wake up call for me. I will never put myself in that situation again. EVER. I think she'd be happy with where I am today!
