topic Judgement and Collections for Lease Agreement in Rebuilding Your Credit

In 2005 I moved from an apartment before the lease was up. I simply could not afford the rent anymore. As a result, the leasing company sought and received a judgement against me for rent, fees, and interest. The judgement is on my credit report. Shortly after receiving the judgement, the leasing company enlisted the help of a collection agency (hunter warfield). As of today, my judgement is for $3,800, but the hunter warfield collection is for about $6,000. My question is: if I pay the judgement, will that take care of the hunter warfield collection? Or, as the leasing company suggested, should I pay hunter warfield and then report to the attorney that the judgement has been paid? The second option is obviously less desirable since it means that I would be negotiating from $6,000 whereas the first option allows me to negotiate from $3,800. Please let me know if anyone has experience with a similar situation. Thanks

I am having trouble with Hunter Warfield as well. My DOFD is 12.2005. The original amount owed is $952.00 and now with interest the amount due is $1441.00. How do I deal with Hunter Warfield because they are so hard headed and refuse a PFD.
