Great idea!

They are capitalists!!!!

If you call them and offer to put money into their pocket that you done now legally owe them in exchange for a simple deletion letter to the CRA, it might work!

This is not just a GW request, it is an offer to put money in their pocket from out of the blue!

Great creativity! Keep us posted!

Even old hound dogs are grateful for discarded bones!

Message Edited by RobertEG on 09-22-2009 12:17 AM

My financial situation has cleared up dramatically

since all of my baddies, and I'm in a position to

pay whatever I need really to get my credit back

up to par.

I settled on a 2 accts with BoA.

Card 1 - $8,029.51 (settled for $1,606)

Card 2 - $5,087.72 (settled for $1,018)

If I approach them and ask if I pay the old "remaining"

balance would they delete it from my credit reports.

Has anyone done this and/or heard of it?

Is it even possible for them to take money on an acct

that is "settled"?

I've tried several GW with no success. So I'm hoping

this could possibly be another route?

Thanks!

Some CCCs have been know to accept payment in exchange for a PFD arrangement, though, BofA isn't all that open. Always worth a shot.

How are these accounts and when did you make the settlement. Some times you might loose the age of the account and loose scores. Not sure which has less impact on your scores. Some times it might be worth leaving the old accounts age on them and let them drop off automatically.
