Applied Bank!!!

Has anyone had experience with a PFD for them? I have done everything I know to try to have this account removed and they will not budge. It was opened fraudulently in 2006 and is still reporting!!

I had a charge off with them in 04. When i was trying to buy a house in 08 i happen to write a letter for a settlement offer the debt was 2200 and i offer them 500 dolars to settle and delete off my credit report and they did it!! After they receive payment the lady sent me a letter stating our agreement and it took less than 2 weeks to delete off credit report. I will have to find that letter to see what the ladys name is and i will get back with u. She also deleted my husbands chargeoff too.

DW had an Applied Bank CO on her CR. We settled it with the CA, and despite showing them proof, Applied Bank refused to recognize the settlement and continued to report the difference. Not only that, even at 10 yrs, a new CA still tries their darndest to try to collect that difference.

When I found this website I didn't know the rules for sending PFDs, DVs, etc. So, I sent Applied Bank a DV letter. Now you can't DV an OC, but Applied Bank responding with "You can't DV an OC" but offered a PFD within their letter offering to delete in exchange for a payment in full. Now I didn't go that route because we settled and because we were right at CRTP, but it was interesting they offered a PFD when I sent a DV.

Over the past couple of years, I've seen other posts where a DV was sent to this OC and they responded with the same form letter. I'd say if you are willing to PIF in exchange for a PFD, then try to send a DV and see what happens.

On a side note, if it wasn't mine, then I'd file a police report and go that way in getting it removed.

Hello,

I have a charge off with applied as well that is scheduled to come off in 8/2010, but I would like to pfd as well. My balance is 1111.00. Could I get this name and address of this person as well. It would be great to see it finally come off as well. The question is how much should I offer them? What do you think?

Hi The women that helped with our deletions is edited. I got lucky and she accepted my settlement offer plus the deletion off my credit report that was in 06. She also deleted my husband acct off his credit report after a settlement offer and deletion request, his was removed in 07..

I requested they send in the company letter the amount that we agree on and they will delete off credit report also that i would have no further liability for this debt. Never send money before getting agreement in writing when pfd or settling with a creditor. I would probably offer 200 or 300 for starters. Does anyone know how to pm information? What is pm?

PM stands for Private Message. First you need to make sure that option is opened in your profile. Go to My Profile>Preferences>Scroll down to Personal Privacy Settings and make sure the box marked Turn on Private Messages is checked.

To send a message click on the name of the person you want to send it to. You will see the profile of that person. Click on "Send this user a private message".
