topic settle or continue to pay slowly, in full in Rebuilding Your Credit

I've been paying a CA about $170 a month on a Paypal account that was around $4500 when I first started with the CA. Every time they call to make payment arrangements, they always try to get me to settle. They are hoping my tax return in a few months will put this to rest once and for all. I still owe about $3300. I think they will take as little as $1200 to settle it. I know they are making out bigtime if I continue to pay the monthly amount (because they paid pennies on the dollar for this), but I suppose they would rather just have the settlement amount instead for some reason.

What should I do? What sort of leverage do I have once I actually have the settlement amount, or am I better off dragging this out and having it show as "paid in full", even though it was a charge-off?

If you have the financial ability, a PFD is always a great way to go. If they accepted $1200 with the "written" agreement to delete...then you settle the account and remove it from your CR.
