DOFD Apr -05 (NY) - Pay CO to remove? Risk of Re-aging?

Hello all,

Could someone please advise about paying this CO? TL is OC Seventh Avenue original amount $219, CO amount is $60 DOFD is May 2005. Only EQ is reporting.

Should I pay this one off? If so, should I mail a check now and advise the SOL re: reporting, etc. for NYS to protect myself against re-aging the account?

I called today and paid Certegy $39 for a missed Netflix payment DOFD is April 2005. I was advised the check would clear in 10 days and the CRA would be notified within 30 days to delete.

How do I follow up on all this?

I would offer them a PFD. I had an old account with them and I sent a PFD and they accepted. It is no longer on my CR!

Send them a PFD to get it removed. SOL has nothing to do with reporting. Any activity will update the activity age, but will not reage the account to where the time till it drops off gets reset. That is set from the date of first delinquency.

Thanks for both of your answers. Will go with PFD for Seventh Avenue. After this only two baddies on EQ!!!
