Can I get Late payments taken off

This is from an Orchard Bank Credit Card. The late payments were 10/09 and 11/09. I have since paid all on time, 12 months now. Can I, or will I get them to stop reporting them??? They have never increased my Credit limit, should I ask to? I use the card quite often and just paid balance to only 15 dollars.

As I look more at my report this card is posting 2 times, . Reason is, card was lost months ago, they would not issue new card, instead opened up another card and closed that one. The old card is not showing a balance but shows the 2 late payments last year. Which is right, however the new card shows up late aswell. In my fico summary it shows "2 accounts with late payments" , when it is actually only one.

Sorry, the late payment dates were from 2008, not 2009, it has been a year ago now.

If you have become current and stayed current....try GW letters. If no result initially, keep sending 1 each month.

Yes, you can get them removed. Call the card company up and ask for a good will adjustment. If they're only 30 day lates and you've been a good customer since, I don't see why they wouldn't help. Be very genuine on the phone and be patient.

If the first rep cannot do anything, say thank you and ask if there is an address you can write to. Wait some time and call back to get another rep, try the process all over again.

It took me 6 reps to have my 120 day lates removed.

Do not call the card companies requesting the GW....send a letter. Phone calls don't work very often....far less often than written requests.

Make sure the letter is apologetic and that you appear to be a loyal faithful customer.
