i looked at my spreadsheet and one was offered a PFD, and the other two were sent DV letters. I did not get a response from the PFD, or one of the DVs. Continental finance actually wrote back to me and told me they do not respond to DVs (which I have now found to be true) and that they were not obligated to validate the debt. I owed it so I should pay. Then they deleted. lol

I checked today's credit reports for myself and my husband. Mine looked the same. No shocker there for right now. I pulled up my husband's and there are 3 collections that just disappeared! Arrow was one of them, and I was positive they were going to be a pain in the butt. Continental finance and First Premier are also gone. I am so happy. I got them removed from my list. So here is my current list of what is left.

Company Owed Drop Off $$$ Owed
Certified Recovery System 5/1/2011 $305.00
United Compucredit 4/1/2012 $67.00
Absolute Collect Svc 8/1/2013 $75.00
MAF Collection Services 1/1/2014 $100.00
Enhanced Recovery Corp 5/1/2014 $171.00
Hollis Cobb Associates, Inc 2/1/2015 $236.00
Creative Recovery Concepts 7/1/2010 $9,538.00
Midland Credit Management 10/1/2010 $750.00
IQ Data International 6/1/2011 $15,943.00
Verizon 7/1/2015 $2,023.00
Consumer Portfolio Services 5/1/2015 $11,609.00
Santander Consumer USA 3/1/2015 $5,851.00
Verizon 1/1/2015 $1,011.00
American Profit Recovery 10/1/2014 $810.00
Certegy 4/1/2014 $578.00
MG Credit 11/1/2013 $1,055.00
Federated Collection Bureau 3/1/2013 $1,316.00
Federated Collection Bureau 8/1/2012 $638.00
Credit Management 4/1/2012 $972.00

This is a combo of both mine and my husband's credit. These are some that are still from ID theft years ago, but most is ours. I am going to do a whole new round of PFDs and DVs today and see who else I can get removed.

I should also note, DV'ing two collectors caused an increase in the amount they say we owe.

Creative Recovery Concepts responded by raising my total amount owed to $20,237.00, and IQ Data International responded by increasing our total to $16,033.00. I would edit my list but the site is acting funky and timing out on me.

They are both accounts that are from our ID Theft, and we have sent them the police reports and disputes. They don't care. So neither do we. They are due to come off soon, very soon, and I will be happy to see them go. Its past the SOL for what they are, and I will be happy to see these accounts go away finally. Esp when they do things like that!

First off, congrats! I feel your joy. After lurking/reading on this forum for a few weeks, then getting to "work" in the last 3 weeks, I've been able to raise my scores 78 points. One of my remaining baddies is an old, charged off First Premier account. I was wondering how you got your FP account deleted. Were you able to find a good contact at the company? Thanks...

Ryan

I had sent them a PFD, they deleted without even contacting me. I am not sure if it was because they don't own the debt anymore, or if they don't have the proof. But its gone. And no one else is collecting for them. I am curious to see if I will get a dunning letter for it. If I do I am just going to pay it off to keep it off the report.
