Favorite Decade for Music

Am I the only one that loves 80's music? It seems like most people think it is the worst decade but I can't get enough of the music. 80's pop, 80's hair band, it doesn't really matter.

Anybody have a favorite decade of music?

70's for sure. Bands like Sabbath, Zepplin, Blue Oyster Cult, mellow stuff like Crosby, Still, Nash. Southern Rock like Skynard. Even country like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Jennings. Having said that I grew up with Poison, Warrant, and Motley Crue and I still listen to them, even though my wife makes fun of me.

70's singer-songwriters and that whole folk-country-rock crossover stuff (Poco, Jackson Browne, Karla Bonoff.)

Otherwise, I lean toward the nineteenth century.

Wow. And 70's music is the worst for me. Although I do love the Bee Gee's for some reason. My fiance thinks I'm a little off when I listen to them.

This is a tough one, but I'm going to go with the 80's. While the 60's had great rock music, there wasn't much else. The 80's had a little (or lot) of everything. Rock, rap, country, jazz, R&B, house, techno, etc., etc.

Although I am a 70s baby and I love some of the 70's rock and some tunes from the 60s and even back to the 50s, I grew up during the 80s and 90s so I have to say the majority would fall in that category for me. Although I have always been one to love music for how it sounds, what it says and how I feel, never limited myself to a specific genre or decade because you just miss out on too many goodies.

The 80's by far were the best musical decade simply because of the wide range of variety .

That being said the greatest band ever is Pink Floyd!

Well I'm only 30 years old, but when I hear alot of music that is done today, I think to myself, "What the heck is going on". I especially don't understand the rap of today. Now 80's and 90's rap had something to it. This makes me feel really old. At least I haven't told anybody to turn down their music because it's too loud.

Don't feel old, I feel like that sometimes when I listen to today's music and not all is bad but some of them make me feel like, ew I miss the good old days and everyone looks at me and goes, what the hell are you talking about, you are not even 35 yet.
