Military Service?

As former military, U.S. Navy (Submarine Service) I am curious as to how many

other former, or active military are myFICO members.

LMAO...i knew i couldn't be the only one who couldn't pass up a good air force joke

the only user i know on here that was (is?) in the military is guiness56. he doesn't hang out here as much anymore.

US Army Infantry, 1993 to 1996.

Only overseas duty was a 1 year tour in Korea.

We have some active duty folks on here, too.

And if you think about it, many of the people here with USAA are military. (The rest of us are spouses and dependents, plus some of the new non-military eligibles.)

Does Army brat count for anything at all? I've been one since 1954, lol. Service brats are lifers!

I'd say that I was a 'former' Marine, but as the saying goes-- Once a Marine, always a Marine! OOH-RAH, and all that!

I served in the The Corps from '93 to '96! Sadly, the most exotic place they ever sent me to was Parris Island, LOL!

I've never served in the military, but my father was in the Merchant Marine during World War Two (he celebrated his 19th birthday on Saipan Island) and then in the US Navy. Both my uncles and both my grandfathers also served. Every Memorial Day I walk through a nearby cemetery and note how many of the graves are of veterans from various wars. I am very much aware how fortunate my generation has been (I was born in 1960)!
