It's raining and I'm ranting...

Once a month, I get together with a group of ladies, we rotate homes. After taking the winter off....last night was our 2nd get-together. There are 12 total on the list. I prepared linguine with clam sauce, rigatoni with sausage, salad with pear vinaigrette, garlic bread and a pineapple upside down cake. The ladies provide their own beverages.

At the last minute, I had SIX CANCELLATIONS...with very lame excuses. I was PIZZED. One girl didn't call at all, just a no-show. One decided to go to a movie with a friend who won tickets, one had to shop for a new washer, one forgot, etc.

This morning I fired off a not-so-friendly email. Can't wait to hear their responses. What is with the rudeness of people?

NO EXCUSE...its totally rude. When I have book club or bunco, regular event, I can understand when someone can't make it...fortuneately most of us let the hostess know in advance. There are reasons why people can't make things...but let the hostess know!!! It is more than rude. The other thing that always irritates me is when someone won't give an answer until the last minute...like they are waiting for a better offer.

p.s....its beautiful here today...rained and snowed yesterday..

I ended up with a serious burn on my arm...it's just painful and horrible looking. That topped off a great evening, grrrr
