Should the Keystone Pipeline Be Built for the Jobs, Or Not ??

My thoughts are the pipeline will become the worst ecological and largest security threat

to ever present itself in the USA

I've read all the spin on the Jobs, Jobs, Jobs issue. Sorry,but I'm not convinced.

Anyone have anything that might convince me it should be built?

Hello,

If you don't mind educated me on this project, why in your opinion do you think that it will be a disaster and not help as we so often hear it would?

Personally, I think that it will probably pass through as a compromise to extend the payroll tax cut that is conveniently tied in a knott to it.

Hi Cory.

IMHO I predict a pipeline accident,should it occur, would leave us at the mercy of another foreign supplier.

We are unlikely to have a steel mill capable to run a quick turn-around to get the necessary materials in an emergency.

Secondly, the oil sands are the dirtiest type of oil on the planet. Why should the good ole USA be the one to process

this junk product. I know, I know, money!! The oil is going to China you know, we won't get any.

Again, why should the USA be the fullfilment house for a deal between Canada and China?

Our neighbors to the north are a Great Nation let them fullfill there own business transactions.

Let us know your thoughts.

When the Alaska pipeline was built, many of my co-workers left to make the big money up there,

I stayed home with my young family. Here it is 35 years since they pumped the first barrel in 1977

and the pipeline may have to be decommissioned due to the lack of oil volume in the freezing temps.

Unless they can drill for more oil, the owners of the pipeline will have to heat the entire 800 mi. Line,

because less crude being pumped means risking a complete corrosion of and destruction of the

pipeline. So.... I wonder how long the tar sands extraction will last?

The Alaska pipeline took 8 billion to build and the only thing saving it from obsolescence is the

Koch brothers oil company. Do we really need more of this?
