SANDY!!!!

Well hurricane sandy will be in my area sun-tues i hope i dont lose power so i can still get on the boards....but they are talking about hurricane winds and rain of 10+ inches over that time period. I am already in a State Of emergency in my state and they are saying it will be one of the worst storms we had in a very long time. The water compaines have lowered the reservoirs to try and stop major flooding. but they did this with irene and it was still very bad. I just hope i have enough stuff to last me for days since they are saying we will be with out power for 7-10 days.....

Where abouts are you? I ventured out this morning to get water, and it was slim pickings everywhere. Best of luck with the storm...

It probably won't be that bad. I'm from south florida, so I'm kind of used to them already. I love hurricanes, the weather gets so nice after them, no 5000% humidity for a week or so. Thanks to sandy the weather here in gainesville has been beautiful; windy, cool out

they are talking about a direct hit for us we dont get them very often here in this area and our trees can not take the wind nor the amount of rain

I'm in Maryland. We are getting hit by the storm now. Lots of rain and wind - but we haven't lost power yet.

We had lots of flooding and strong winds in MD. I also have seen a few news reports of lost life, but all in all the storm was kind to us. Hope everyone else made out ok.

Update: I was with out power for a few days got it back last night. it is very crazy in jersey here. no gas low food in some places. shore got slammed. seeing child hood memories just get washed away. our family shore house got a direct hit unsure of fate yet. not allowed on island for at least 2 weeks if not more. Gas is needed the most right now so people dont panic.
