Just a design created by an Amex fan. Look at his page and you will see this person likes to create art with similar designs. Has nothing to do directly with Amex and they are not planning on implementing this design on their Gold Card.

I went to his Facebook page. I don't use twitter so perhaps you're seeing something I'm not. I still doubt this design will be considered. It isn't boring and simple like Amex wants it to be.

@If you click on his Twitter handle @JustinMaller kn the original post, it takes you to his twitter page. When he tweeted it on the 2nd, he says it's a piece commissioned by American Express. Whether they'll use it is another matter even if they did commission a new card design.
