So I saw this posted on Reddit. It looks really good in my opinion. Much better than the old design.

I agree it is better but because they changed the look in Apple Pay its no guarantee that the card itself will change. Hopefully it does. Looks good in purple

I like it better than the old design (always thought the border was weird) but wish it was the same dark red or did some other color like dark blue instead of purple.

Supposedly they had previously said they would release a preview of the new card design through Apple Pay. Also, the Amex logo in the lower right is clearly trying to replicate a physical shininess that will be on the new card. It would be pointless to put that in a graphic just meant to be on Apple Pay.

I like the redesign over the old one for sure. It reminds me of the Chase Sapphire Preferred, although I'd be shocked if it was metal

Meh. Don't even have this card anyway but I like the dark red over purple. Also, the image doesn't even have a chip which is strange.

Cards in Apple Pay don't show the EMV chips.

Only one of my Amex cards that shows the chip is my Everyday Preferred, even though my Platinum and PRG also have the chip embedded. I wouldn't read too much into that, I'd imagine the card will have a chip. But yeah as far as design, I like that this design is simpler

I like it much better than the existing red card. My work provided credit card is a SPG and I am due for a new one, mine expires in a couple of months so hopefully I get one of the new ones.
