Chase Sapphire Preferred! Most metal cards carry an AF, so try to find one that rewards your regular spending!

Amen. Hell, a lot of metal cards are more of a pain in the ass to swipe than plastic... when I took payments at an old job, I'd always groan internally when a black card came out, because they never swiped correctly on the first try.

That's a good point!

I guess it's cool to be different, but honestly in my case the fast food drive-thru cashier couldn't care less what I hand over as long as it works!

Depends on how much you're putting on the card. Start out with chase sapphire preferred card. It has bonus rewards points now.

My Ritz card NEVER works at the pump....sooo. I have to go into the store/...which means I have to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Damn Chase!!!! I know they own stock in Marlboro.

you can order a plastic version that will also work to save the wear and tear on your pretty metal ritz card :] call em up, they will send it out pronto.

the metal venture isn't a regular release. only a select few got it. tbh metal cards are cool but after a few months you realize it spends the same and it has no real meaning to anything. at the end of the day it's still a bill... just now it's a metal bill instead of a plastic bill.

That does solve the 'pump' problem, but geez... it seems like they would be able to work out the kinks so that the metal version would work anywhere. I imagine once all the pumps are changed over to 'chip' in a few years it will be a moot issue.

I guess sometimes simpler really is better?

My metal card works fine.

If your metal card is all scratched up. Just order a new one every time. That's what I did.

My Virgin America Siggy is...like...made out of gelatin...but it works EVERY TIME. For $400 you would think Chase could figure it out.

I called them after I got the Ritz card and inquired as to why my card wasn't working.....they asked if I put it in the right way......

Luxury card is carbon fiber, isn't it?

Also, the plastic ritz card is ugly af. Everything is all squished onto the front.
