CSP holders! Am I the only one "let down"......

By the look of the card..... I'm not nitpicking I love the card but can we all admit it looks far different than the pictures!

Just got mine in the mail last night and for some odd reason I was actually expecting it to look like the pictures I've seen of it here on myfico lol

But I'm the same person that wouldn't expect a hamburger to resemble it's picture 🤔

Yes, the card is much duller than pictured on the internet. I was a little disappointed as you were, but still great rewards program. You will forget about the look, in time.

At various times, it has really been hyped here as a totally stunning wonderful card (although many have now moved on to the heavier cards such as Ritz) so when I got mine I was a little surprised to find it less than overwhelming. (And shortly after I got an PM from a well known poster here who had just received his, basically saying "What is all the excitement about"?)

And yes, a good rewards program when used well, which is what really matters.

bingo on bolded.. That is what makes the card for me is the freedom and CSP together.. Not the aesthetics of the card. Although it is nicer looking than alot of my other cards. I think people expect to much from the looks for whatever reason

Let me reiterate that I did not apply for this card for the aesthetics ..........

The only point I was trying to make was that it differs from the pictures of the card.....strictly from an Aesthetics point of you i'm sure everyone will admit that the pictures of said card are absolutely beautiful and the actual card isn't necessarily an ugly duckling but just a tad bit more vanilla that's all.

Again when I buy a hamburger I don't expect it to look as it looks in a picture but for some reason I mistakenly assumed that the pictures of the card mirrored the actual card

im still thrilled I got it..... I just got declined at Starbucks a few minutes ago: because I forgot to activate it!

I wonder if the CSP is like the Ink where it no longer has an activation sticker, but they still expect you to activate it. (I called for something else and they offered to activate it.)

And on the look, someone recently posted that the look changed. Don't have one so can't comment, but maybe it did?

Some CSP holders thought it did, but it was debunked by a forum member with both old and new CSPs. Look & weight are the same.

Yeah.... If I had an activation sticker... I sure wouldn't have tried using it before hand (I got a couple of weird looks when the barista said it was declined 🙄)

As far as the look on the CSP possibly changing..... that would explain a lot .... (Wonder if anyone can chime in on an older CSP looking different)

Here is the old CSP.. Sure it looks exact same as the new one and weight is the same I am pretty sure as well.. Metal core, etc

I was also expecting the color to be more vibrant, more like the pictures we all link to our signatures. I still like it. Feels good in my hand. More than anything I love the boatload of UR in my account already.

LOL Yeah. I just received mine today. I thought it would look like the picture we all use in our sigs and that's online. But nope. It's a dark navy tint, as shown above. But it has a nice slim metal weighted design.
Raised laser etched lettering...It' cool with me tho. I just paid some bills with this bad boy!

Nothing ever looks the same in person. You remember all those fast food commercials and how awesome those burgers looked? When you order one and get it, it never looks the same with that magic smoke emanating from it like it does on tv does it? They just slap that sh*t on and tell you have a nice day. I still love the card though. I actually prefer that dark blue. But my annual fee is coming up in a few months and i dont wanna have to pay that. I am thinking maybe I should switch. Oh the dilema!

The CSP looks different depending on the light, sometimes the light catches the "facets" of the Sapphire making it look great.
