Sam's Club New Card Design

Read somewhere that Sam's Club and Synchrony entered into a new 30 year contractual agreement.

Looks like they're revamping the cards. Heard they're being shipped out automatically in mid March.

Agreed, Sync is def the devil. Would've been nice if they used Citi Retail Card Services instead but, we'll take what we can get. Can't beat 5% off on gas, which for me includes inside purchases.

Website portal updated the card design, so I expect any week now.. to get the actual physical. Wouldn't it be a knee slapper if this were to be a metal card lol!

I don't have a plus membership so I'll be stuck with the standard MC, but I noticed that design appears to have been updated as well, which is a good thing.

The current design is flawed (at least IMHO); the membership number on the back of the card is black on a dark blue background, and is printed exactly where the name is embossed on the other side, rendering it completely illegible. I actually still have my old card from 'back in the day' just in case I ever need my membership number and can't get online for whatever reason.

My dashboard still has the old design, but if/when it's updated to show the new standard MC design I might just have to call for a card replacement.

(Those silver balls sure are purdy... I might have to do the math again just to make sure an upgrade to a Plus membership still doesn't make sense, LOL.)

logged in on my sync accounts and the font looks wierd , not usual, and my Sams mc says world elite is this a glitch or something, Im not up for a increase until may that will be 6 months since i got the card

@Anonymous they get larger swipe fees for a world elite, so they have an incentive to bump you up, but congratulations, you get more benefits as well, although I don't know what they are. you would have to read your benefits.

This prompted to to go look at my own, and I'm now also showing "World Elite" although I only have a standard 'Club' Membership (not plus):

It wasn't showing WEMC when I checked just a few days ago. I had assumed that paying for the 'Plus' membership was going to required to get the WEMC upgrade, but possibly not... 🤔

In the coming weeks I might just have to request a replacement card... my current card is difficult to read, after all.

Maybe they're upgrading all Sam's Club CCs? 🤩 It's interesting because in the past they only selected some Plus CCs upgrades to WMC so maybe it's every account now.

@FinStar it may be, because I see increased rewards for plus members now as well. They get an extra 2% now on in-store items for a total of 3%, but since the friend also has AOD it's a non-issue.

Boggles my mind people don't eat up this 5% gas benefit.. It also works inside of gas stations, on products, such as gift cards.
