How to set increase number of replies in threads and also add phrase?

Not sure this came across right in title, but I would like to increase the number of post in thread, so I can decrease number of pages; haven't found it in setting? Also how do you add a phrase to your signature, if I'm phrasing that correctly?

Click on your avatar in the top right hand corner, then go to my settings, preferences, linear layout, and then linear format: posts per page when viewing a topic. I have mine set to 50 and like it MUCH better that way.
