CSP/CSR Redesign?

Anyone think we'll get a redesign of the CSP/CSR cards if/when the rumored changes to their earnings potentially arrive in August? I do like the current designs, though, so if they update them, hopefully they are still classy.

I just want them to give up the blue.

I hate blue. I'd rather deal with red and green polka dots on orange background.

I guess they were updated slightly in 2019 (?) when they made contactless ones. I remember my CSP went more blue than purple and dropped the words "Chase" on the front. I can't seem to find anything on the internet as to when the CSP adopted the design it was using in 2019. I've only had mine since mid 2018.

Well, that confirms the 2019 date for the update/refresh when they added contactless. Someone in that thread mentioned the CSP card was metal and they had it for 5 years, so maybe the design has been generally the same since at least 2014.

The S stands for Sapphire. There's going to be blue in it somewhere.

Also Blue is clearly Chase's signature color, given how they use it in all their non-co-branded cards. (And AMEX's too, given all their non-charge cards non-co-branded cards and NAMING conventions.)

Chase and AmEx should really have had a sit-down about who gets the color Blue for all their stuff at some point and hashed that out. Pretty sure AmEx had it first with the AmEx Blue!

Having said that..hate it. I loved the original design. This looks like it came from a 1988 episode of Max Headroom or at least the laser lights on my garage door that sense movement and thus reverse the door closing.

I wonder how/if they will butcher the Reserve.......

I didn't see anything about an updated design with the CSR in the press release, so who knows.

I'll be requesting this on August 16th to see if it comes metal as well (I'm assuming they wouldn't change that). So with my updated BoA PR coming any day now, I might have 2 new metal card designs to swoon over.

Yeah... nope. '80s laser light show feels... flat. My CSP is rather too dark to really see the "gem cuts" on it well, but this is just nope. Won't get the "sleek" new version until they make me I guess.

I prefer the current design, but it lives in my phone for tap to pay anyway, so they can make it as ugly as they want.

I have to say, I'm torn on the design. I don't hate it. It looks nicer than a lot of other cards. But, I really like the current version better. I like how it has a sapphire look to it. I'll be waiting to hear if this is a metal version. If not, I may just keep my current until it expires and I get another one.
