My Savor is plastic but I've had it for quite some time. Maybe when it expires I'll get a metal one.

Got my replacement card that was expiring and was pleasantly surprised they repaced my existing plastic card with a metal one...

Didn't think they offered one.

Yep, I've had a metal Savor for a while now, and it's actually one of the nicer ones, IMHO.

I had mine replaced a few months ago (the old one was starting to come apart at the corner) and the new one is just as sturdy as the last one.

This was me last year. I lost my card and I got sent a metal card. I was shock. I had no idea it was a metal card.

My Savor card (no AF-Grandfathered) is metal. Not sure if any replacement cards will continue to be metal.

It's a little bit of a bummer they stopped issuing the Venture as metal. But it's nice that the Savor is still going strong (no pun intended...).

It's a little bit of a bummer they stopped issuing the Venture as metal. But it's nice that the Savor is still going strong (no pun intended...).

This is a three month old thread but I wanted to add my datapoint. I recently app'd for a Capital One Venture and was shocked when I opened the envelope and it turned out to be a metal card. Weight is 18 grams. Equivalent to AMEX Plat. I've also read CO stopped sending out metal cards so I don't know why this one ended up metal.

Maybe it's just random and sporadic?

Would love a metal Savor when it comes time to app for another card.

Congrats on the metal card. Maybe they had a few lying around. Dont see many Venture apps/approvals.

Mine's plastic for years. Even with expiration replacement.

Thanks FireMedic1! Yes, I was definitely surprised on both counts, the approval and then the metal card. I'm guessing that it's the prime version and that I made the cut for the minimum starting limit. In some respects, I'm more happy that it's their prime version because I hope to app Savor in the future and perhaps I'll (and I'm guessing here) it'll help with how their internal algorithm scores me and I'll be approved for a prime Savor as well. Interestingly, I was just on the CO website last night looking up card benefits and I clicked on what it takes to qualify for "excellent" credit (for Venture) and I don't. Not metric for metric anyway. Perhaps the UW guidelines are not set in stone?

And I agree...maybe they did have a few just "lying around." lol!

Just received replacement card for grandfathered Savor, and it's plastic since it's the personalized image version.
