3rd Time... USPS Hates Me

I've written about my issues with the US Mail several times on the forums-

First, they stopped delivering mail to me for two weeks over Christmas and I had to have Chase overnight my CSP to a different address because it didn't show up after three weeks. Also, the first card never got to me.

Then I tried to get Informed Delivery, but it would not accept my online application, I requested a code be mailed to me and it showed up NINE MONTHS LATER. After six months I was able to sign up online, so the code taking another three months was moot.

Then I got my Chase Freedom Unlimited and all the mail in informed delivery never arrived at my mailbox for two weeks. On Day 14 I finally got my card and a pile of other mail.

Today's news: I have an AU Amex Gold coming in for my daughter. Informed delivery said it would be here yesterday, but it's still not here. This is third time I have had a credit card not delivered by USPS.

What's the old saying? Once is an accident, twice is suspicious, but three times in enemy action?

Why dont you ask the Card company to send it by FedEx or UPS. I know for sure Amex and major card companies would oblize that requets.

Most of my card companies are now using FedEx to send out cards.

Yesterday was electric bills delivery day, I received two that where not mine and did not get mine. A neighbor dropped mine off to me last night and I delivered the two I got to the correct houses. I know it is amazing but what can I say? here we just deliver each others mail and packages to the correct house. You would think it is an easy process for the post office but I guess it is not.

Really? I've never had a CC delivered by anything but mail.

I live in a rural area in southern AZ. The town where the post office is located only has about dozen people who live there, but it's a very large mail delivery area. The 7 houses on our road get our mail delivered to a locked mailbox out on the highway. My neighbor & I were regularly getting each other's mail, so my neighbor complained to the Postmaster and things got better. And the mail carrier had been the same guy for the 16 years I lived here, and he wasn't known for his pleasant personality. One time I pulled up to the mailbox as he was leaving and saw that he had left the backdoor of the mailbox open with his keys still in it, and open to everyone's mail. So I locked it back up and followed him down the highway to his next stop and gave him his keys, telling him he had left it open. Not a word of thanks, just a "did you lock everything back up?".

But he was killed last winter. He drove an ancient jeep with right hand drive and the front axle broke. He never wore a seatbelt, and was ejected out the right side and the jeep landed on top of him. RIP, but the new mail carrier is a big improvement.

It must be an on going problem here in central Florida. My new Apple card just came in FedEx last week, I did not request it. My Capital One just came FedEx too. It may be they have certain zip codes tagged to only ship FedEx but here it is mostly the mail carriers mistakes. Unless Mickey Mouse thinks it is funny and is switching up everyone's mail LOL

Informed delivery is not a guarantee to get the mail same day. Mail gets processed in the plant and gets sent to wrong routes. It could be sent out of state but most often in same office. When the mail gets processed on the machine , picture of the letter is taken and sent to the customer. If it was missort in the same office it get's processed next day. Depending on where your letter went.

I often explain to customers who are adamant on a mail piece arriving that day is not always accurate. I point out the tiny ID disclaimer:

Mail may arrive several days after you receive this notification. Please allow up to a week for delivery before reporting missing mail.

This past year has been crazy for us locally. Not looking forward to the season.

I flagged a piece of mail as not delivered and the Mail Lady was pissed the next day as I waited for my check to come in the mail.

From my experience that little button on your dashboard can really make a change.

Said Mail Lady can only deliver what was sent to her station that morning. More than likley as @Anonymous noted, that mail piece wasn't properly passed onto that specfic carrier to be delivered to you for whatever reason and trust us, there are a plethora of reasons.

Ticking off that button in your ID in a reality has no impact on that station or any carrier associated with delivering said tagged mail piece. That button is more of a data gathering button; it will not effect an operational change at the local level.

If it worked for you then it was coincidence. Carriers don't know if you ticked that button.

LMAO I'm sure that didn't help. Customers will get most letters same day as shown in informed delivery email. If not, have to wait for it to be processed again.
