Discover IT - Card Designs Question

Does anyone know if you can swap your card for a new design, besides the solid colors ? Discover always seems to have nice card design choices...

What I had in mind possibly, besides the solid color, would be the New York City graphic, the "Dawn of Discover" (old retro-looking logo), or maybe the multi-color.

I cannot decide how I feel about the NYC photo. Depending on the day, it could be either "place I am trapped" or "place I am happy/blessed to live" and there are times I don't want to be reminded of NYC, so leaning towards the black 80's Retro card with a huge Disco logo. It doesn't look flashy or anything, but it does look unique...like, "Wow, this looks like the first Discover card ever issued, how long have you had it?"

I didn't see as many design choices, when I applied, just all solid colors. I wonder if they still have those other options, and just didn't see them ?

They're all there... 163 choices, under card services, selcet add or replace card, and you should see all the options.

Short answer, yes you can! And then you can reactivate the old one back if you wish.

However picture designs don't have texture like the original designs or NHL cards.

I think I payed a small fee, and there's also a limited amount of times that you can do it.

You can, I have 3 or 4 different versions so your not stuck to just 1

There is no one 'Discover IT' card. There is Discover it Cash Back, Chrome, Miles, etc. And, if you look carefully, the 'it' is lower case.

I'm on design number 23. You can request a new design at any time after your first card (I think you can only choose "standard" designs when apping).

The only issue that I've seen is after you have 4, the 5th one is iffy. I couldn't add a new one and I also kept getting errors replacing one of my 4. So I had to have Discover CS delete some. I now only stick to 2 at a time; I keep my favorite "Dawn of Discover" as my base and I replace the other with a new design a couple times a year.

I just got my second card replaced with the new frog design. It's pretty neat: the white is a metallic flake and the frogs almost look 3-D.

It's free to switch out anytime. They do not charge and you can choose a different design.
