Adults dressing up with their kids to go trick or treating = cool.

Adults dressing up for halloween at work = not so cool IMHO.

The one thing that I was always freaked out by was when the tellers at the bank that I worked at would dress up for halloween. I just couldn't believe that I was seeing that.

This year, DD7 is a witch, DD4 is a pirate (and SOOO adorable!). I will be a Mom.

Last year, DD7 was Batgirl, DD4 was a CareBear! And I was a Mom.

Years past, they were always both princesses. I was getting a little tired of the stereotypical girly roles, so I mixed it up & started bringing home the costumes w/o letting them choose. They're just as happy! Who knew?!

The best costume I ever did as an adult was Pat from Saturday Night Live...I was so good it was pretty scary.

I am donning a princess-dress - yards and yards of ice pink tulle, petal sleeves and a HUGE butt bow(the worst of the worst of bad bridesmaid's dresses) with a tiara and 18 illustrated book covers (Wuthering Heights, Tess of the D'Uberville, Heart of Darkness, among them) attached to the bodice and skirt of the abomination of a dress......

What do you think the sash says?

I have no life, but DD#2 is going to work dressed as a bunch of grapes. (Think dozens of purple balloons attached to leotard and tights.)

We did this when she was little and discovered how difficult it is to strap a kid into a van seatbelt when covered in balloons. Now she'll be riding the trolley to her job. We'll see if they let her on.

Well I wore my Sara Palin outfit to work but it wasn't really that far off from what I normally wear. I wore a black suit - BUT the difference was that I WORE makeup (usually dont) and I fixed my hair just like Sara Palin's - and I wore my Tina Fey glasses.

A few years ago we had a blood drive on Halloween, so all the Red Cross people dressed like Dracula.

If bank tellers really wanted to look frightening they'd all dress as giant envelopes with "401K Statement" printed on the outside...
