How Long Do Student Loans Stay on Credit Report

I have several that say $0 - Account transferred or sold/Pays account as agreed. These were then transferred to Great Lakes and Sallie Mae, who I am now paying. Do these get removed eventually?

Did they have negative payment history before they were closed? If not, they'll stay on your reports for 10 years. It's actually a good thing to have them stay as long as possible if that's the case.

If they did have negative payment history, the negative notations will stay up to 7 years + 180 days after the date of first delinquency before falling off.

****If the tradelines are in default status, the negative reporting works differently.****
