No date of removal listed on credit reports for student loans

Hello

Is it normal to not see a date of removal for student loans on credit reports. I pulled my credit reports from Experian, TransUnion and Equifax in January of this year and just noticed that there isn't any information regarding their removal listed. Any information would be appreciated.

Are they open accounts? I wouldn't expect to see a removal date until the account is closed either because it was paid off/transfered/defaulted. Like other loans, positive SL accounts will be on your report for around 10 years after closure. Negative accounts will either see the negative information removed after 7 years has passed (in the case of individual lates), or will be removed after 7 years from the DOFD. With federal loans though, they can re-report defaulted debt because they can continue to collect on it indefinitely.

No they are closed accounts. The loans were originally thru Sallie Mae, then sold to EMC Corporation I believe then sold to ACS and I made the final student loan payment thru ACS this year. I looked back at my reports and it looks like 2012/2013 is when I stopped making payments to salle mae so I'll put in my personal tracker to watch for it's removal around 2019/2020. Thanks for the advice.
