Student loans still showing up on CR

I applied for and received a couple of small federal student loans back in 2008. One for $1750, another for $2000, both through Wells Fargo. I dropped out of the University of Phoenix shortly after so neither loan was used. At least that's what I have been thinking. Though one account is still showing up on my credit report as WE EFS with $0 balance, no lates, with the "account closed" date just 4 months after the "opened date". Only remark is "payment deferred".

How do I go about getting this off of my credit report? It's not showing as a negative account on any credit reports. Does that mean it is no longer affecting my credit score?

On another note, I plan to purchase a home in June 2018 and I have previously disputed this account before I found out what it was. Do I have to get that dispute remark removed before I close on a home? If so, how would I go about doing that? It was disputed in August 2016, fwiw.

My guess is it will stay on your report for 7 years.

I think you're required to remove the dispute before they give you the loan.

The dispute will fall off after its 'resolved'. Usually after 30 days. Just dont dispute it again.

When you apply for mortgage in 2018, IF the lender has a question about this, most you will have to do is LOE (letter of explanation). Don't worry about it AT ALL.

Oh and if its not a negative account as you mentioned SERIOUSLY dont worry about this being on there. The account itself will fall off too.
