    <description>&lt;P&gt;Anyone know how inquiries work.&amp;nbsp; My daughter started college and needed additional financial aid, so she applied for Sallie Mae student loan.&amp;nbsp; However the school she was attending said that they needed to run my credit first before running hers.&amp;nbsp; If my credit was too bad/low and didn't qualify then they would only use her credit.&amp;nbsp; So me being the parent that I am, signed the form knowing that my credit at the time was really bad and I wouldn't qualify.&amp;nbsp; Well to make a long story short, I didn't qualify and therefore all student loans were on my daughters credit.&amp;nbsp; However this took place last May 2008 and now a year later, the school runs my credit again.&amp;nbsp; I get a credit alert of a new inquiry from Sallie Mae and a letter in the mail stating that I couldn't get a student loan based on my credit history.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My question is can Sallie Mae keep on running my credit as they please and me ultimately keep getting hit with more inquiries on my TU? Is this an unathorized inquiry?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My scores are slowly improving.&amp;nbsp; TU has moved up 563 to 617 in the past few months.&amp;nbsp; The&lt;/P&gt;</description>
