Nelnet loans not reporting to Equifax

Has anyone had trouble with Nelnet loans not reporting to Equifax? If yes, did you find a remedy for this?

Hello T,

Thank you for your response. I have called Nelnet and the people I spoke to were very nice, however I still haven't found that the problem has been fixed. The loans are reporting correctly on TU and Experian, they are all just not reporting to Equifax. I would think that this has something to do with your reporting, as in, some part of your database that dictates that the loan report to Equifax has perhaps been left unchecked or something to that effect?

If you want to send a copy of your credit report for review to determine why the information is not there send that to:

Hello T,

That is so nice and helpful of you! I actually faxed a copy of my report to you a few days back at the suggestion of one of your customer service reps. I did notice that as of yesterday all of my newer loans with you reported to Equifax (as they had been already), but none of the older loans popped up yet. I guess I don't know that they will, but I could sure use them to report to increase my account history. If I don't see any changes then I will try mailing my report to the address. I just got my loan out of default status with NJ Higher Education. The loan is from 98. Will Nelnet bacdate the loan or will it report as new?

Your post leads me to believe that you have rehabilitated your loan. This loan will come back to Nelnet somewhat as a new loan so the reporting will start over however all the older reporting will still be out there.

In my experience with Nelnet purchasing my rehabb'd loan earlier this year the loans were added to my report as new TL's but they correctly showed that the open date was back in 05.
