My fiance has had a MB Financial loan for 60 months that we paid off in February. It has always been on autopay and we've not really worried about it or noticed it much. Fast forward to our last payment and for whatever reason MB removed the autopay and we ended up being 30 days late. It took his score down about 50 points. Is there anything we can do to get these deleted beyond talking to MB Financial (unsuccessful) and submitting disputes with the bureaus (already done)? We are not beyond hiring someone at this point either. Thanks!
Submitting disputes is wrong to do in this situation. Unfortuantly you will just have to wait 7 years from the time you either sell the car, and close the loan in order for it to come off. Having one bad payment is not the end of the world.
Try filing a complaint with CFPB, it is possible they will just remove it.
It is though. It actually dropped the scores 80 points. That is a huge deal when trying to not only get a loan but get a good APR. That's thousands of dollars worth of interest.
Thank you!
