The only pre-approvals were from GM Power Card (Capital One) and I just threw away my second pre-approved Credit One card ($90 Annual fee!).
I was told my another member after I got approved for my first secured card from Capital One, I just have tried to get a QuickSilver at the same time. I didn't, I waited until my score went up and I got my credit increase.
I went to Capital One's website, put in my particulars and was approved. Weeks later I tired to get a Barclay's card and was denied. They said my accounts are too few and too new, oh well.
I would get a secured card now, having a positive tradeline only helps never hurts. SDFC is easy to get and low $200 min deposit; as long as you have no negatives on your Chex System.
