Went to Phlilips Chevy in Frankforth, Illinois & the dealer got me approved at 5.9%. I plan on re-fianancing in a year through my credit union & I plan on paying this off in 2.5yrs. Also got gap coverage & the certified warranty extended

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Found a nice deal on this low mile convertible. Originally asking 33K, down to 29K, put about 9K down so LtV 65%. Asked for 21,000 approved 22,500, interest rate is way too high. Not taking this deal and probably not buying the car. Ridiculous as I just got 5% from cap1 on a refinance.

Yeah, that rate is way too high.
IM shocked that USAA is that high. Whenever I log on to my usaa online they always make a point of letting me know im pre approved for like 2.99% or something up to 50k. Wonder why they thought the need to give you 12%. Heck even on my leasure loan I took out a couple years ago to buy a pair of jetskis It was 6% and I was told for a non essential purchase like a car or house, that was pretty good.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: My first big loan. I wasn't sure i could get a loan with out a cosigner, but i did! The only other credit I've had is a credit card with a 750 limit for a couple years. I believe in credit unions now!
