MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:   One year ago I was in the low to mid 500's a/k/a 10th Circle of Hell.  I worked - extremely hard - to get my report clean.  I have no baddies now except our discharged Chapter 13 (2/2009).  I also have an auto loan that I paid off three years early back in 2004.  I had to pay NO MONEY DOWN and my car payments are payroll deducted.  YIPPEE!!

I couldn't be more happy - if I can do it - you can do it too - JOIN A CREDIT UNION!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK: GMAC
BUREAU PULLED:  Didn't ask, but I bought new scores in the am
CREDIT SCORE:   TU 632, EQ 642
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: Wisconsin
NEW/USED:   New
YEAR OF VEHICLE:  2009
MAKE: Chev
MODEL: Malibu
MILEAGE: 70
RETAIL/LEASE: Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: $26,901
TERM CONTRACTED: 60 mos
APR/LEASE RATE: 7.25
MONTHLY PAYMENT:  $535
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:  Second tier financing.  I traded in a 2006 Cobalt with high-mileage that was badly upside down from a 17% interest rate, 72 month loan.  Got trade in of $3500 and I put $3000 down, plus pricing special and $2000 rebates.  I still have negative equity (MSRP - $24590), but I'm in better shape with this loan than three years ago.  Walked in to dealer at 2 pm, picked up the car at 5:30pm.

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK: Alliant Credit Union
BUREAU PULLED: Equifax
CREDIT SCORE:729
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE:CA
NEW/USED: Brand New
YEAR OF VEHICLE:2009
MAKE:Honda
MODEL:Civic LX
MILEAGE:30
RETAIL/LEASE:Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN:$12,115.91
TERM CONTRACTED:60 months
APR/LEASE RATE:4.35%
MONTHLY PAYMENT:$225.06
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:I got what I believe was a pretty sweet deal on crystal (that's her name) $15,292.75 (MSRP is $18,965 and invoice is $17,818). Lowballed a bit on my trade in, but she honestly presented in much better shape than she actually is, so I'm ok with that. Put $3500 down cash, $1500 trade. Super excited. I've always been a super lurker on this site, but have learned so much and improved my credit exponentially! Much better deal than my last car!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK: ESL Federal Credit Union
BUREAU PULLED: Equifax/Experien
CREDIT SCORE:629/unknown, husband 661/unknown
STATE OF RESIDENCE:NY
NEW/USED: Brand New

MODEL:Versa
MILEAGE:43
RETAIL/LEASE:Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN:$13,163
TERM CONTRACTED:84 months
APR/LEASE RATE:9.54%
MONTHLY PAYMENT:$216
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:I got a $19,000 car for $13,163 including undercoating.  Traded in our 1999 Mitzubishi Montero in the cash for clunkers and got $4500 plus $1750 rebate and $800 off the MRSP.  I'm very happy with this deal seeing we just had our Chapter 13 discharged in Nov 2008.  Dealership said we got Tier I rates with our credit union (they deal with them a lot).  I took the longer loan and will pay extra as dh wants a used Silverado before winter.  All in all very happy except have to wait until Friday to get it as that is when the Cash for Clunkers program starts.
