Auto Loan with Tax Lein on CR

Hi. I was wondering if someone was in my situation and had any experience to help me with my situation.

I have IRS tax Leins on my name on 2008-2009 (29k) and 2010(11k)

I recently paid off my 28k Lein and have letter of release of the of Lein 668Z.

I also paid the balance off my 11k 2010 lein and have yet to recieve the release letter.

My scores are 710-Experian and 721 with Transunion, even with the leins. I have been making timely CC payment since 2009, also paid off a car loan in 2011 satisfactorily. Before 2009 I had some late payments, if that matters.

My current salary is 80k and have not other payments since I live with my wife who has a paid off house.

I naievly applied for loan with 2 CU in an attempt to get a auto loan for 30k for a really low rate thinking that the lein would show up as paid or released.

But they both declined stating that I have a lein on my report.

So here is my question to you guys - What should I do to get the lein off my credit report?

Also how fast would I be able to get a loan for 25-30k? How much should I wait for it to clear up on my report before reapplying?

Do lenders look at old liens and reject applications?

I had 3 judgements (2 paid ..not updated.. 1 unpaid yet) 1 tax lein, 1 forclosure and nurmerous CO's and went to a dealer that approves all credit ..  the dealer pulled app and sent to other ans Chase financed me for 17,000.00 ( cost of car)
