@medo That's fantastic you were able to resolve the issue . . . a similar situation happened to me with my mortgage company when I defaulted on my credit card and signature loan . . . I was struggling financially and partially had my mortgage note paid via direct deposit. I wasn't checking my mortgage statement but received a threat to foreclosure notice for non-payment. Wow, was I shocked; I called the CU and found out that the Credit Card Manager (CCM) was automatically intercepting my direct deposit and paying on the credit card. What a nightmare when I found out that the CU had a right to exercise their cross collateralization . . . my saving grace was an Executive VP who halted the foreclosure and the actions of the CCM. Because I had a decent salary (prior to retirement) I was able to pay the mortgage note with one payroll . . . What a huge headache but grateful it was finally resolved.
