Can I get approved and what lender should I try

Alright so I currently have a 594 transunion score and a 608 Equifax. I make around 37K with no rent or mortgage payments. I have been trying to establish my credit again for a year and I have no late payments on two un,secured cards and a credit builder loan. I had a reposession exactly two yeras ago almost to the day. I plan on finding a car in $20000 price range and putting $5000 down. Any advice on how to proceed?

You only mention EQ and TU are these true FICO scores or are you referring to Credit Karma by any chance ?

Try Capital One Auto Navigator with a SP to see how your credit profile looks like before doing a HP at a dealer.

Have you asked a local CU to see if you qualify ?

Anyone can be approved for an auto loan, but you may not like the terms or the vehicles they'll allow you to buy to get financed. Try cap1's prequalify to get an idea of where you stand before doing anything else.

Carvana and Carmax will approve basically anyone. High interest but maybe you can refinance out in a few months with a credit union.
