Hi,
I signed my loan documents at my credit union and they gave me a $2,999 check for the motorcycle that I want. However, the total purchase price is $3,451 because of taxes, tags and fees. Can I still negotiate with the dealer to have the "out the door" price come down to $2,999? If the dealer doesn't budge, can my credit union re-print a check for the same amount payable to another dealership?
I am lgoing to the dealer today. Please help!!!
Thanks!
You can certainly try to negotiate the price down... but if you've already agreed on the price, i'm not sure how much wiggle room you'll have with that dealership.
In my one and only experience, the check was blank and I filled in the dealerships name.
You can try. Tell us what happened.
What type of bike are you looking at? $2999 is a low price for a bike. My guess is 08 Ninja 250 am I close?
I did try, but it was the final price because of the bike's mint condition.
I got a 2003 Honda Rebel with 3K miles. It's just a starter bike!
