CapOne Auto calls to verify my address

Rec'd a call and an e-mail that they are reviewing my applications and they needed proof of my address.  Faxed them over a utility bill and rec'd confirmation that they rec'd it minutes later.  Is this a good sign that I might get approved...I mean, they didn't come out and say H*LL NO right away.  They must be at least considering it!  Correct?

From what I know of Cap1 Auto Finance they are considering you for approval.  Otherwise they would not be verifying the address like that.  Not an expert but just my 2 cents.

You are correct!!  I received an e-mail a couple mintues later that I was approved  :-)

For how much? What are the terms? I keep getting pre-approval letters and emails, but not sure about the what types of terms they offer. Do share.

Loan amount was up to 20.2k.  But the rate was CRAP-15%.  My scores are all in the mid 600's.  Funny though, I went to the dealer last night and recevieved a call from CapOne on my way home wanting to speak with me.  I haven't called them back but wondering what that was about.  I got a better rate at the deal.  I would have taken it if I had no other choice.

what rate did you get at dealership?

might want to consider joining DCU and trying to refi with them... mid 600's are getting some fantastic rates lately through them.

Well at first it was 11%, they gave me all the crap about that being as good as they can do, blah, blah. So I went with it. HOWEVER, my loan assigned to Ally Bank, which I read the reviews on and as with any company, they were mixed however, I also read about a lawsuit they were involved with recently and I fired off an e-mail to every manager at te dealership. Make a long story short, I end going back to sign my new loan agreement with a 7.29% rate. Hmmm, interesting that they got me after I demanded they get me another financing company or I would just finance the car myself.  647 is what they used and got me with Hyundai Financial. I hope to refinance in about 6 months to year. I was eyeing DCU too!
