Car salesman really don't know anything about financing cars. What you need is a finance manager. You should provide more information such as what chapter BK and what status is the BK and any other relevent information.
There is one who posted to the car loan approval thread. He posted three cars he had bought, seems knowledgable and nice enough so you could probably PM him. It was about a month back so should be easy to find.
