DCU Auto Loan

If I apply for a loan through DCU how long is the approval good for? Would I have to run out and get a car within a week or would be able to take my time?

Starting Score: No credit history in July 2013, 663 in August (lender pulled)
Current Score: 773 (Discover FICO), 749 (DCU EQ)
Ultimate goal: Buy a house in 2016!
