Gambled and it paid off - thanks PenFed!!

I've had my new to me truck for almost 3 weeks.

Sun night/early Monday the installment account hit my EQ file so I decided to see what PenFed would offer.

I filled out the app and it came back approved at 6.8% and I shaved 6 months off the term.

For those of you that remember my previous  thread, I like working on my stuff and maintaining it, so I don't mind turning wrenches.

Congrats!  PenFed is great.  I need to get back in with them.  We want to buy a boat soon, and I am thinking about shopping them for rates.  My very first car loan with with them in 1985!

When they're good, they're very good. When they're bad they're a nightmare. 

Paid off an auto loan with them, FedExed a check for $48,350. Have the Fedex tracking as proof, a copy of the check, the name and signature of the person that signed for it. 

Getting ready to hit the 30 day late mark... and they still can't locate the check. I am NOT impressed.

That's awful but you've covered you butt so it's really on them at this point.

I got the payoff check in the mail today. I'll write a personal check for the difference and mail it out tomorrow via UPS.
