NFCU personal expense loan with collateral for young person

My 20 yo son applied with NFCU for a loan for an RV (20k). Does anyone know the procedure for this type of loan with Navy and how long the process takes? He's had a relationship with Navy for 5 years and has 2 credit cards with them. We've never had a loan through them, just credit cards, so no idea of their process.
