Nice article! I think now is a fine time to buy if one, as you said, educates themselves. When we bought our 2022 Hyundai Tucson in January, it was an absolute perfect time to buy in my opinion. Yes, dealers weren't dealing, but it was a wash when we considered that we'd never get more for our trade than we did during that time. We traded in our 2016 Jeep Patriot that we paid a little over $19,000 for and got $17,000 from Carmax. We then got the Tucson for $500 under MSRP since I qualified for a vet discount. Finance rates were still low at the time, and I got 2.29% from NFCU.
There are still deals out there, but again, it's about eduction.
All things considered we got a fantastic car at a decent price.
