Question about dealer financing

When you apply at a Toyota Financial or Honda Financial or Ford Credit and they say that you are pre-approved and you just need to take the certificate to the dealer, do you still have the ability not to get financed? I am just waiting now to hear from Toyota Dealerships on Financing rates because the Honda ones took so long.

IMO pre approvals are nothing more than junk mail. Anyone & everyone is preapproved until they do a credit check. Did you do the online preapproval? I have read people that have did the preapproval online with Honda and not got approved but went to dealership and was approved.
